1. Acceptance of Terms
By accessing RubiVault, you agree to these Terms & Conditions and our Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, you must discontinue use.
2. Eligibility
You must be at least 18 years old, or the legal age of majority in your jurisdiction, to create an account.
3. User Accounts
You are responsible for:
- Maintaining the confidentiality of login credentials
- Ensuring the accuracy of your information
- All activities performed under your account
We reserve the right to suspend or terminate accounts that violate these Terms.
4. User Content
You retain full ownership of files and content uploaded to RubiVault. You grant RubiVault a limited, non-exclusive right to store, encrypt, process, index, and transmit your files solely to operate and improve the Service.
RubiVault does not claim ownership over your content.
5. Prohibited Uses
You may not:
- Upload or distribute illegal or harmful content
- Attempt unauthorized access to systems or data
- Reverse engineer or copy parts of the service
- Use RubiVault for fraud, harassment, harm or impersonation
- Violate intellectual property rights of others
A separate Prohibited File Upload Policy governs illegal content such as child sexual abuse material (CSAM), extreme violence, etc.
6. Data Retention & Deleted Files
When you delete a file:
- It moves to the Archive for 30 days
- During this window, recovery is free
- After 30 days, recovery may incur a fee due to blockchain reconstruction
- After the extended retention period, the file may be permanently deleted
7. Payment & Pricing
Users agree to pay applicable fees for premium services and paid recoveries. All fees are in U.S. dollars unless otherwise noted.
8. Termination
RubiVault may suspend or terminate access due to:
- Violation of Terms
- Security threats
- Legal compliance obligations
Users may delete their accounts at any time.
9. Disclaimer of Warranties
RubiVault is provided “as is” without warranties of any kind, express or implied.
10. Limitation of Liability
To the maximum extent permitted by U.S. law:
- RubiVault is not liable for indirect, incidental or punitive damages.
- Liability is limited to the amount paid for the service in the previous 12 months.
11. Governing Law
These Terms are governed by the laws of the United States and the State of Delaware, unless otherwise required by applicable law.
